This is one of the most irritating things to occur to the player, seen only in campaign. It results in a state of immobility, causing the player to fall to his knees and cover his head, most commonly due to the opening of nearby Emergence Holes, although this is less commonly known. Should this happen, push the A button when instructed and you will be mobile once again.

This is NOT the same as 'bleeding out', which is the Multiplayer equivalent of self revival.
