Lena was a member of the Outsiders and formerly resided in Riftworm Village. Lena left the village with Norsko and Freddie following the harsher rule of Village Chief Oscar Diaz after several attacks from the Swarm. The group set up camp in the Kadar Valley, only for Freddie to be shot by a DeeBee at the New Hope Research Facility and for Norsko to be podded and turned into a Juvie. Lena found shelter but died due to hypothermia.

Biography

Early Life

Lena was likely born after 0 A.E., but it is unknown if she was born after the end of the Locust War.

Outsider Movement

Lena became a member of the Outsiders, a group of survivors formed from the Stranded and rejected the new Coalition of Ordered Governments. Living outside COG jurisdiction, Lena lived in the Wilds. She eventually came to live in the Riftworm Village, an Outsider village built within the remains of the gargantuan Riftworm killed during Operation: Hollow Storm in 14 A.E.

Swarm Invasion

Reemergence of the Locust

The Locust Horde, once thought to have been killed by the Imulsion Countermeasure Weapon, evolved into the Scions and created a bio-organism called the Swarm to transform humans into soldiers for their army by connecting them to the Hivemind. They began to build their army kidnapping villagers and Gears. One of the first villages ambushed was Fort Umson. The Chief second-in-command, Oscar Diaz, was one of the few survivors of the attack and relocated to Riftworm Village with twin sibling survivors, Mackenzie and Eli.

Leaving Riftworm Village

Due to Oscar Diaz's knowledge of the Swarm, he became Chief of Riftworm Village and began instituting rules for the villagers in order to protect them and prepare for an ambush. Several villagers, including Lena, Norsko, and Freddie; felt the rules were oppressive and too similar to living under the COG. Lena, along with Norsko and Freddie, decided to risk living in the Wilds and left Riftworm Village. They ventured north into the Kadar Valley where they thought they would be safe. They later came to an abandoned mine in the valley for Nethercutt Mining. An Outsider's camp was made there with the three living without rules. Due to this, the Swarm attacked the underground village and took most of the villagers.

Living in Kadar Valley

Lena, Norsko, and Freddie barely managed to escape. They founded a camp outside Jameson Depot, but Freddie was shot and killed for trespassing by a DeeBee Shepherd guarding the building. Lena and Norsko went deeper into the valley. Leaving Norsko in a substation at Communications Tower 2A East to look for supplies, she returned to find that Norsko had been podded by a Snatcher. Unable to put him down, Lena left a note outside the cabin warning others and asking to be gentle when putting him down. She then went across the frozen lake and took shelter in the other substation at Communications Tower 1A North.

Death

The substation in Communications Tower 1A North went without electricity. Due to the cold weather of Kadar Valley, Lena froze to death from hypothermia.
